Can we heal Ourselves?

My research over the past year concludes that we are born with the ability to heal ourselves from any and every health malfunction. But, we lose this ability very quickly because we are taught by our caregivers (parents, teachers, etc.) that we have very little control over our health.

We are conditioned to believe that sickness and disease are a normal part of our life. When we are stricken, we must look to others for recovery help. All too often there is no help and we just need to “ride it out”.
There is nothing sinister about this misbelief. It’s just a belief handed down from generation to generation.
But in recent years researchers have confirmed that our bodies are brilliantly equipped with natural self-repair mechanisms that repair broken proteins, kill cancer cells, fight infections, retard aging, and generally keep our bodies healthy. We (for the most part) just don’t know how to access these natural self-repair mechanisms.

Fortunately, there are many practitioners who have had great success in helping people regain their natural self-healing abilities. Victoria and I have been learning from Dr. Joe Dispenza and Dr. Sue Morter, but there are many others.
Are you interested learning self-healing abilities for yourself? Here’s the steps I recommend:
1. Do enough research so that you are absolutely convinced these self-healing abilities are available to you. This is the show stopper for many people. A lifetime of conditioning for your limitations may be just too much to overcome.
2. Find a teacher/ practitioner you really resonate with. You can’t navigate the self-healing process alone. You need the love and support of the right kind of teacher for you.
3. Listen to your body all the time. Your teacher/ practitioner will suggest paying more attention to your body than you have in the past …with deep breathing, meditation, yoga, etc. Get to know yourself from the inside out.

We are making great progress with our self-healing skills. I hope you can make it work for you too. Take 20 minutes to view this 2012 TED talk by Dr. Lissa Rankin titled: Is there scientific proof we can heal ourselves? . Quite inspiring.
I’d love to hear from you.
