How do you spell pain relief? …CBD

Lots of buzz about CBD (short for cannabidiol) these days. In fact, a Gallup poll just published 08/07/19 says that 14% of Americans say they use CBD products. That’s amazing considering the products are legal in only a few states.

There are numerous claims that CBD is more effective than other pain killers, without the harmful side effects associated with so many prescription pain killers. My online research bears this out. One article (just published 7-22-2019) I’d urge you to read: What Is CBD? Every Question About the Buzzy Weed Derivative, Explained. But it’s not just pain treatment that is gaining so much interest in CBD. Proponents say that CBD helps with everything from pain and nausea to rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, Crohn’s disease and dementia.

Is it legal? Under federal law, cannabis (from which both CBD and marijuana are derived) is illegal everywhere, although the laws against it aren’t generally enforced in states that have legalized marijuana. Arizona is one of the states where we can legally buy CBD in all it’s forms (Oil, Isolate, Crystals, Wax, E-liquids)

We decided to try CBD cream to treat a back injury Victoria was dealing with. There’s not a lot of data to help a person find the “best value” products. That’s because all the products on the market today have had no review by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), and that’s because the oversight of these products was just been shifted from the DOJ (Department of Justice) to the FDA this year.

So basically, we asked friends if they had used CBD topical creams that worked, did some online shopping, and purchased a cream on Amazon. Pricing is all over the map, which suggests that quality likely varies widely.

The cream we purchased has been working well for us. If you’re interested in trying CBD, be somewhat cautious:
* Read the complete article mentioned above and other articles related to your health challenge and CBD.
* Talk to your doctor, especially if you’re hoping to replace a prescription.
* Talk to any friends who have tried it.

If you have tried CBD in any form, I’d love to hear your experience.
